Ten extraordinary days exploring Egypt, culminating in one of nature’s rarest spectacles: the 2027 total solar eclipse. Experience the Pyramids of Giza at sunrise, with private access inside the Great Pyramid; descend into the magnificent tomb of Seti I in the Valley of the Kings; and enjoy exclusive use of a riverside villa in Luxor. Then spend six unforgettable days sailing the Nile aboard an exclusively-reserved dahabiya, with just 18 guests in nine cabins.
Designed exclusively for EYOS, this journey through Egypt combines rare access to some of the country's most extraordinary historic sites with carefully curated experiences in Cairo, Luxor and Aswan. At the heart of the expedition is the 2027 total solar eclipse, a rare celestial event that promises to make an already remarkable expedition truly unforgettable.
The land program opens in Cairo with a concierge waiting at the entrance to the immigration hall and a night at the Marriott Mena House overlooking the Pyramids, and closes back in Cairo with an afternoon at the Grand Egyptian Museum and a farewell dinner before the flights home. Between those two points: a private two-hour sunrise at Giza with access to the interior of the Great Pyramid, two nights at a riverside villa in Luxor held for the group alone, Karnak and Luxor Temple, a private visit to the Valley of the Kings, including the royal tomb of Seti I and exclusive access to three selected royal tombs, lunch on the terrace of the Old Cataract, and two private Gulfstream jets on each domestic route.
At Esna the group boards a chartered Nour El Nil dahabiya and sails south. Six days on the river: El Kab, Edfu, Gebel el-Silsila, Kom Ombo. No fixed schedule beyond the temples and the wind, and nights moored against riverbanks with nothing else on them.
A once-in-a-lifetime Nile voyage for just 18 guests, with nine cabins available to book individually.
A dedicated airport concierge meets the group at the entrance to the immigration hall, before passport control, holding a personalised name sign. Priority fast-track through immigration and into the VIP lounge, where guests wait while their luggage is collected, then an escort to a private Mercedes transfer to the hotel.
Check in at the Marriott Mena House, overlooking the Pyramids of Giza. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.
Before dawn, a private transfer to the Pyramids and a welcome at the VIP lounge. A two-hour private sunrise visit with special access to the Pyramids area and access to the interior of the Great Pyramid. Lounge service, golf carts, chilled drinks. Back at the hotel for breakfast.
After checking out, return to the Pyramids for lunch at Khufu's, overlooking them. Then to Cairo International with a departure concierge, and private Gulfstream jets to Luxor, where a concierge meets the group for the private transfer to Beit El Nil Villa. Dinner and overnight at the villa.
Begin the day with breakfast, then a guided visit to the Karnak Temple Complex and Luxor Temple. Lunch at the Abydos Nile View Restaurant, then time to rest at the villa.
In the late afternoon, a private visit to the Valley of the Kings, roughly three hours, with special access to the valley, exclusive access to three selected royal tombs and access to the Royal Tomb of King Seti I. Back to the villa to freshen up, then dinner at a choice of two restaurants: Silk Road at the Hilton Luxor Resort on the East Bank, Asian cuisine across the Nile from the villa, followed by a horse-drawn carriage ride through Luxor; or Khan Al Moudira on the West Bank, Eastern and Mediterranean-inspired cuisine on the villa's side of the river. Overnight at Beit El Nil.
Begin the day with breakfast at the villa, then the transfer to Esna for embarkation.
At Esna, descend into the Temple of Khnum, a sanctuary preserved beneath the modern city streets. Board the dahabiya and meet the crew. Lunch is served on deck as she casts off and glides toward the fields of Al Hegz, and a sunset walk through the village. Overnight moored at Al Hegz.
Wake to the rhythm of the river as she sails toward El Kab, with an optional morning walk through the orchards and fields, then explore the cliffside tombs and the ancient City of the Vulture, spanning four thousand years.
A relaxing passage south leads to the monumental Temple of Edfu, the most perfectly preserved temple in the ancient world. After the visit, sail on to the secluded sanctuary of Al Fawazah Island for the night.
A morning sail toward Wadi Al Shat, then a scenic stop for a mid-afternoon swim in the Nile.
Continue the drift toward the sandstone gateway of Gebel el-Silsila for dinner on deck at the foot of the floodlit temple. Overnight at the base of the ancient quarries.
Today is eclipse day. Watch the 2027 total solar eclipse from the Nile, with up to six minutes of totality.
Begin the day with a walking tour of Gebel el-Silsila, the quarry that gave up the stone for Egypt's greatest monuments, its boulders carved with inscriptions.
Sail on to a riverbank for a private celebratory lunch and swimming. After lunch, the golden-hour sail toward Meneha Island, mooring for the night in the silence of the desert evening.
A short morning sail to Kom Ombo and its unique double temple overlooking the water, shared by Horus the falcon and Sobek the crocodile.
Then set sail for a final afternoon on the river, stopping at a secluded beach for lunch and a last swim. After lunch, the final leg toward Aswan, docking near the Aswan bridge in the evening. Final overnight aboard in the heart of Aswan.
Enjoy a final breakfast on deck in Aswan, followed by a guided visit to the beautiful Temple of Philae. Lunch awaits at the iconic Old Cataract Hotel, overlooking the Nile, before returning to Cairo for an afternoon visit to the spectacular Grand Egyptian Museum. The journey concludes with a farewell dinner and overnight stay at the Sofitel Cairo Downtown Nile.
Begin the day with breakfast at the hotel. For each international departure, a dedicated airport concierge meets guests in the hotel lobby and stays with them throughout. A private transfer to Cairo International Airport, a greeter at the AHLAN Lounge, priority fast-track through immigration with every formality handled, and a dedicated car to the aircraft.

The program is built around the 2027 total solar eclipse. On Day 7, Monday 2 August, the group watches it from the Nile, with up to six minutes of totality.
Answered 19 Oct: totality is Day 7, 2 August (Amy and Ben: the card should say so). Ben: "I would be vague. Something about being on the Nile for the eclipse and getting to experience up to 6 minutes of total eclipse. I don't think we know yet" (where). Still open: the viewing position on the river. The six days under sail, from Esna to Aswan. The land days in Cairo, Giza and Luxor sit outside this map; the itinerary above covers them day by day.

A two-hour private sunrise visit with special access to the Pyramids area and access to the interior of the Great Pyramid. The VIP lounge opens for the group with lounge service, golf carts and an ice box of chilled water, soft drinks and juices. Each guest receives official Pyramids of Giza giveaways.
A private late-afternoon visit to the Valley of the Kings, approximately three hours, with special access to the valley, exclusive access to three selected royal tombs, and access to the Royal Tomb of King Seti I. Special access is subject to the relevant authorities' approval and final confirmation.
Two nights at Beit El Nil, an intimate twelve-room villa under the same ownership as Al Moudira, with all nine rooms and three suites held for the group. Reclaimed marble floors and Egyptian stone, a large garden running down to its own stretch of the Nile, and a wrought-iron Winter Garden pavilion on the roof looking across the river.
Cairo to Luxor on Day 2 and Aswan to Cairo on Day 9, each route flown by two private Gulfstream jets so the full group travels in comfort, with the aircraft and their operating costs included. Both routes remain subject to aircraft availability and final operational confirmation, and flight times are indicative.
At Cairo on arrival the concierge waits at the entrance to the immigration hall, before passport control, with a personalised name sign, then fast-track into the VIP lounge while the luggage is collected. At Cairo on the flight south and at Aswan on the flight north, a concierge handles check-in, baggage, formalities and escort throughout; at Luxor and back in Cairo a concierge meets the group, collects the baggage and escorts everyone to the transfer. On the way home a concierge collects each guest from the hotel lobby, with a greeter at the AHLAN Lounge, priority fast-track immigration and a dedicated car to the aircraft.
The last lunch of the program is at the Terrace Restaurant at the Old Cataract Hotel, above the Nile at Aswan, between the Temple of Philae and the jets north to Cairo.
Licensed English-speaking Egyptologists accompany every land tour in the program. Alongside them, the group travels with EYOS expedition guides and a shore-based team on hand for 24/7 support.

Ben, 19 October: "Can we leave out for now? I'm not sure we're ready to confirm yet. Probably Kathy Sullivan and David Wright but not 100%." The two cards above are hidden on the public page and the PDF until he confirms. Approved bio copy for one of the two already exists in the Greenland Eclipse book-by-the-cabin brochure.
EYOS delivers the thrill of adventure to those ready to explore the unknown. Since pioneering the category in 2008, we remain the world leader in private superyacht expeditions. With our extensive knowledge and hard-won experience of the remote world, we define our own limits to take you beyond yours. Your expedition will be supported by both EYOS expedition guides and a shore-based team on hand to provide 24/7 support.
A dahabiya is a shallow-draught Nile sailing boat: two lateen sails, no engine noise under way, and a draught shallow enough to moor against a bank where a cruise ship cannot go. It is the reason the itinerary can spend a night at the foot of a floodlit temple and a morning swimming off the stern.
EYOS has chartered the vessel in full for this voyage and is releasing it by the cabin. Nine cabins for eighteen guests, and no other party aboard.
The historic hotel overlooking the Pyramids of Giza.
A riverside villa in its own garden on the Nile, managed by the Al Moudira Collection. All twelve rooms are held for the group.
On the Nile Promenade in central Cairo, offering Nile-facing accommodation and contemporary luxury.
Transfers at Cairo International on arrival and departure are by luxury Mercedes car or minivan according to party size; domestic airport transfers and all touring are by modern air-conditioned Mercedes bus. Every transfer and touring vehicle carries an ice box of chilled, sealed mineral water and light snacks.

This voyage is offered by the cabin. Eighteen guests across nine cabins, seven standard and two suites, and the vessel is chartered in full by EYOS for the eclipse.

Seven cabins.
The two aft cabins.
The per-cabin rate covers the full ten-day program, including the land days before and after the cruise. Rates are indicative and quoted in Euros per cabin. All arrangements are subject to availability and final confirmation at the time of booking. Special and exclusive-access arrangements are subject to the relevant authorities' approval and final confirmation.

The land program's inclusions are fully specified. The cruise side is not. A client comparing this to any other expedition brochure will look for the standard aboard list: all meals, non-alcoholic and standard alcoholic beverages, shore excursions and access fees, use of the vessel's equipment, laundry, taxes and service charges, internet, and the expedition staff. Needed as a matching column. Ben, 19 October: "I believe that is all covered in terms and conditions?" It is not: the Terms say nothing about the dahabiya and all three supplier PDFs put the cruise outside the land quote. Asked Peter (doing the Included and Terms edits).

Figures and dates on this page are the ones that need confirming for this voyage before it is sent.
To reserve your cabin, an advance payment of 50% of the cabin price is required. The advance payment must be paid within seven days of receiving the invoice for the reservation. Payment must be made by wire transfer to the account on the invoice.
Your initial payment indicates your acceptance of our complete Terms and Conditions. We require written notice at the time of reservation of any physical condition, diet or treatment requiring special attention.
Final payment is due 90 days prior to departure. If final payment is not received on time, confirmed reservations will be cancelled, with rebooking subject to space availability.
Because this program commits substantial advance payments to third-party suppliers, the hotels, the private jets and the vessel, where a supplier's cancellation conditions are more restrictive than those below, the supplier's specific terms will apply, and you will be informed of any additional non-refundable cost applicable to your booking.
Cancellation requests must be submitted in writing.
We strongly recommend that you purchase travel and cancellation insurance, including medical evacuation coverage, to protect your investment in the event of unexpected or unforeseen circumstances.
All arrangements remain subject to availability until formally confirmed. The private jet flights are subject to aircraft availability and final operational confirmation, and flight times are indicative. Special and exclusive-access experiences are subject to the relevant authorities' approval and final confirmation.
Timings aboard are estimated and can vary by several hours with weather, wind and river conditions. The exact program each day is determined by the vessel's captain and the expedition leader.
Smoking is allowed only in designated outdoor areas.
Among other things, limitations of EYOS Expeditions Ltd's liability for loss of property, injury, illness or death during the voyage will be provided to all guests in the ship's ticket sent prior to departure. A copy of the ship's ticket is also available upon request. By registering for the trip, the guest agrees to all such terms and conditions.
The 50 percent advance, the 90-day final payment and the three cancellation tiers above are EYOS's own book-by-the-cabin terms, carried over intact. This program commits earlier and harder than most: the hotel hold, the private jets and the vessel all take non-refundable money well before departure. Confirm whether the standing tiers stand, or whether this voyage needs its own schedule. Also confirm the legal entity and the second name on the responsibility clause, which on a chartered vessel usually names the owning company alongside EYOS Expeditions Ltd.
Eighteen guests, a chartered dahabiya, and ten days between Cairo and Aswan. To hold a cabin, or to ask anything at all about the program, get in touch.
